Long story short: Man at the post office desk is very dismissive and unhelpful. I would not trust getting collection parcels delivered to this Post Office (they are prone to human error or worst case scenario THEFT!)
I had an issue with my IKEA parcel being collected (found out via tracking notifications) from the Post Office when I never did collect it. They guy basically was very "not my problem". I understand that step no.1 is to talk to IKEA first but wanted to investigate if the problem can be quickly solved in person. Especially if the parcel is actually there and it was marked as collected by human error. I mean I have my name and address on my ID, proof of purchase in my emails and IKEA order number on hand!
To even be slightly helpful is not a crazy approach? Did an IKEA parcel even get delivered? If he is not allowed to say then he should at least take it seriously because how can this happen in the first place? I mean this is potentially theft at the Post Office! Even to just, listen, be kind and understanding and say "there is nothing that can be done on our end unfortunately" instead of brushing me off. He looked at me like I am stupid and unreasonable for asking about any IKEA parcels arriving. Anyways, because of his dismissiveness I have no trust. Theft could be happening at the local Post Office so be wary about using this Post Office! Unless the guy can own up to his or his team's human error about how this can actually happen. I never even received notification that my parcel was ready to collect so not like there was any collection barcode for a hacker to steal and use!
Update: IKEA have proof that DPD delivered my parcel to be collected at the Post Office. So either it was incorrectly marked as collected by staff and is just lying on the floor; has been given to a random customer without proper verification; or the parcel has been stolen which I would not be surprised by as they do leave parcels lying around in a pile next to the counter.

I’ve had multiple experiences at this post office, and unfortunately, the customer service has consistently been disappointing. The man working there often comes across as impatient and rude, which makes even simple transactions unnecessarily stressful.
I understand that everyone has bad days, but in a customer-facing role, it’s important to remain professional and respectful. Customers shouldn’t feel like they’re being treated as an inconvenience for simply using a service.
And honestly it wouldn't kill him to get a better attitude ,sorry not sorry. :)
